For chuju
Steve normally didn't mind giving these little tours. He didn't have to do them often, usually as a favor to one person or another, but they were generally pretty fun and the people he got to walk around were enthusiastic. Every once in a while though he got to give a special sort of tour, the kind where it meant at lot to the person he was giving it to.
This tour for Chloe was definitely one of those. After talking with her it was easy to see how much SHIELD, and to a lesser extent the Avengers, meant to her. Plus she had just been fun to talk to. She treated him like he was a real person and not some icon. Anyone who could joke with him in a way that they weren't afraid to take a few shots at him was a good person in his book.
So while he waited out front of the compound he found himself actually looking forward to this tour. Even doing a few silly pictures at his desk for her seemed like a fun idea. He just hoped that it was going to be everything she hoped for.

Still, after the initial shock wore off, the excitement had started setting in. She'd been a bit of a superhero fangirl back in the day, and it seems that enthusiasm hasn't waned even after joining the super ranks herself. But more than that, she was excited to spend some time with the man himself.
Steve Rogers. Captain America. The man Coulson idolized and told a hundred stories about over the years. Sure, he's still just a guy, but he's also a genuinely good one — those are hard to find these days. None of that means that she'll hesitate for even a second to tease him, though. He'd worked for SHIELD once upon a time, not to mention the SSR, so that practically made him family.
The black SUV that pulled up in front of the compound is nondescript, lacking the giant SHIELD logo that had once graced everything from their cars to their water bottles. They've scaled things back a little, of which Daisy highly approved. (It's hard to do spy things when you've got a giant eagle on your back.)
Climbing out of the vehicle, she didn't miss a beat before calling over with a smile, "Hey, do you work here? I'm here for the 11:30 tour. I heard lunch was included and, you know, that's really the only reason I'm here."
